US government has seized multiple torrent (and other) sites

The US government has now gone directly to ICANN and taken over a bunch of domains that was focused around torrents and counterfeit products. The strange part about this is that they have done so with no written notice to the site owners or even registrars, they simply got a court order and went straight to ICANN.

The first thing that comes to mind now is, will the US government in the future simply take over any domain with content they do not approve of? And what can stop them?

These sites where seized in this round:

HttpClient: Target host must not be null, or set in parameters

If you have the following code failing:

HttpGet httpget = new HttpGet(“www.host.com”);

Then the error is pretty easy to solve:
The problem is that you have not added a protocol to the URL, so change it to:

HttpGet httpget = new HttpGet(“http://www.host.com”);

And then it will work as wanted.

Munin: “unknown reply from client” or “Invalid argument – Attempting to use old configuration”

If you receive either of those error messages in Munin, start by checking the following:

1) Have you misspelled anything in the config file?
2) Try to telnet to the hostname/IP port 4949, it works if everything is setup correctly
